What makes me happy

This picture is of a flower shop in London called Wild at Heart. I just love the large blackboard in the background! It is small and quaint and it just what I miss about London. Starting a business is a lot of work, in fact I know why more people don't start up businesses now. Seeing a picture like this makes me want to work in a little flower shop across this pond with little or no hassle to deal with. But where is the fun and adventure in that???????

I hope Metallic never go out of style. As much as I love any variation of purple, golds and silvers make the best statement. This is a beautiful example!

I am meeting w/ an advisor next week to see if we are on the right track with my business plan and in the meantime I am eagerly awaiting material samples so that I can feel them and choose the fabrics to designs on.

Working from home

I have discovered that working from home can really be challenging. The thought of working from home is very appealing yet actually doing it is harder than I thought. It takes me a minute or two to get into work mode but once I am there, I am there! However in that precious 20 minute window I am easily distracted by other "projects" around the house. These projects include sewing
(I am expecting my first child in April) and cooking which is another great love of mine. Mimi my partner is very organized. She should post a picture of her office, I am very jealous. I spent yesterday getting organized. The first picture is a nice little box that I have proudly put all sorts of information. The second is a picture of where those papers will go. Now that I have gotten off track by posting, I think I should try once again to buckle down and work on some finance information.
